- The Founder had a vision of starting a volunteer organization that would create an opportunity for others to support the sickle cell community. She wanted to train those who were battling the diseae on how to effectively tell their stories and to become advocates. She has pushed the SCD Soldier Network, Inc into the trenches where the battle takes place and we now need your help to win the war that sickle cell has waged against the community. This is her story of commitment, now we are calling on you. Will you answer the call?

Video Series
The Bed Bound Activist is a video series that highlights the advice and or advocacy tips that are given by activist Phyllis Zachery-Thomas from her hospital bed. She suffers with Sickle Cell Disease and does not stop advocating & educating just because she is hospitalized. As the Founder & President of SCD Soldier Network, Inc., she wants those within the sickle cell community to benefit from her contributions. As a true leader and one who trains other advocates she shares her wisdom from a horizontal position.

Our animated updates of the formation of SCD Soldier Network is highlighted with narration by the founder. Teleconference
There will be Periodic Informational Teleconferences hosted by the founder and if you have signed up to become a soldier you will receive the schedule information.
