Our Tiny Soldiers are being trained in the area of Sickle Cell Awareness and are being groomed to become our next generation of advocates and future leaders in the fight. Tiny Soldiers are those under the age of 13 who are affected by SCD. They don't have to have the blood disorder as long as they have a sibling, parent, other family member or friend with SCD. Education will allow them to break all of the stereotypes about this disease and allow them the opportunity to be heard. Empowerment is the key to their success.

Do you know a child under the age of 13 who is affected by SCD in any way? If so joining the Tiny Soldiers is an excellant way to ensure that they understand the disease that is ever so present in their lives. Being a Tiny Soldier affords children the opportunity to talk about their battle with sickle cell and the impact that it has had on them. Sickle Cell Awareness at this stage of life has the potential to bring an end to this disease.
